Housing and Behavioral Health Advisory Board Opening - 2023/06/20 CO NEWS RELEASE June 20,2023 — - MASON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' OFFICE I854 " 411 N 5TH ST, BLDG 1, SHELTON,WA 98584 TO: KMAS, KRXY, SHELTON-MASON COUNTY JOURNAL, THE OLYMPIAN, SHELTON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE,NORTH MASON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, CITY OF SHELTON, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL, THE SUN RE: Housing and Behavioral Health Advisory Board Citizen Opening The Board of County Commissioners are accepting applications to fill one community position for the Mason County Housing and Behavioral Health Advisory Board representing Commissioner District 3. The applicant must not have direct affiliations with agencies that receive funding. The Boards are looking for community members with an interest in public health,mental health, substance use disorder,homelessness and/or affordable housing. The Housing and Behavioral Health Advisory Board is a seven-member board appointed to advise the Board of County Commissioners on the use of state and local funds to address affordable housing, homelessness, and behavioral health treatment in Mason County. The Advisory Board typically meets at least once per month on the fourth Wednesday from 9— 11 am, with special meetings scheduled, as necessary. Appointed board members serve a four-year term.
