Vuecrest Dr. Union, WA 98592 August 11,2026 Mason County Department of Health Services 415 N 6th St Shelton, WA 98584 RE: Always Painting& Construction Property(Parcel#31902-75-90023) Septic Reserve Dear Inspector: Attached is a plot plan and tank permit for a property located at 101 SE Dusty Ln,Shelton, WA 98584. There is an existing 3-bedroom gravity septic system that was being used with an RV hookup. The property has a shared 2-party well with 103 SE Dusty Ln. The new owner is planning to put in a new 3-bedroom home on the property. See attached plot plan for details. The site has an existing permitted 3-bedroom septic system installed in 1987. According to records,the existing system consists of a 1,200-gallon 2-compartment concrete septic tank followed by 130 lineal feet of gravity drainfield trenches (390 s.f). Minimum historical sizing of the drainfield for a 3-bedroom would be 360 s.f, so this system exceeds those sizing standards. The septic was recently pumped and inspected. The drainfield was flow-tested for 20 minutes with no water coming back. Since the new house outlet is at a lower elevation,a new 1,200 gallon 2-compartment septic tank with a pump in the second chamber will be installed and pump up to the existing tank inlet. See tank permit attached. We have set aside 600 s.f of drainfield trench reserve area,enough for a 3-bedroom septic in Type 4 soil should it be needed in the future_ This reserve area has no setback issues as it is 100-from any wells or surface water. No soil is to be disturbed in this area and it should not be used for vehicle traffic or parking. The property owner's contact information is as follows: Always Painting&Contracting.
