9:00 A.M. WSU Extension—Heidi Steinbach
Commissioners Neatherlin,Tarzwell,and Trask were in attendance.
• Heidi shared the modification of the Participating Agreement with the United States Department of
Agriculture Invasive Plant Inventory Prevention and Control in the amount of$4,192.Approved to
move forward.
9:05 A.M. Public Health—David Windom
Commissioners Neatherlin,Tarzwell,and Trask were in attendance.
• David shared the funding recommendations for the Homeless Response System Services and
Affordable Housing Request for Proposals(RFP).
• David discussed a potential citizens advisory group from the Department of Ecology regarding Water
Resource Inventory Area(WRIA) 14.
9:10 A.M. Public Works—Loretta Swanson
Utilities&Waste Management
Commissioners Neatherlin,Tarzwell,and Trask were in attendance.
• Mike Collins shared the amendment to the Interagency Agreement with Washington State Parks and
Recreation Commission for the increased cost from$67,000 to$69,000.Approved to move forward.
• Loretta discussed the new State Route 3 (SR 3)Freight Corridor Access Report and Plan and the
County response to the Washington State Department of Transportation(WSDOT).
• Loretta and Mike shared the Road Fund budget forecast.
9:40 A.M. Support Services—Travis Adams
Commissioners Neatherlin,Tarzwell,and Trask were in attendance.
• McKenzie Smith requested to reappoint Dan Dittmer to the Veterans'Advisory Board(VAB)for the at-
large member position.There is one additional vacancy.Approved to move forward.
• McKenzie discussed outstanding balances and continued use of Memorial Hall.
• McKenzie shared the Request for Proposals(RFP)for Mason County Real Estate Professional
Services.Approved to move forward.
• Jennifer provided an update on the Youth Connection American Rescue Plan Act(ARPA) award.
• Cmmr.Neatherlin briefly discussed budget proposals.
• Cmmr.Tarzwell discussed an Ordinance to allow Prosecutors to handle child endangerment issues
around fentanyl and other opioid issues.
