Meeting Minutes
Thursday, January 15, 2026
The regular meeting was called to order at 5:03 P.M. by Chairperson Mark Nault.
1. Attendance:
Commissioners present: Mark Nault, Mel Ferrier and Eric Gough
Others present: Tami Beyer, Danielle Drogmund, Shane Schoeneberg and Tenielle

2. Approval of Minutes
Commissioners Mel Ferrier and Eric Gough moved and seconded to approve the

October 16, 2025,regular meeting minutes.Motion carried.
3.Open Forum for Citizen Input None
4. Appeals
4.1 F. Blackston-Lateral Corrections Deputy Eligibility List Appeal Decision
Action:Eric Gough moved, and Mark Nault seconded, to approve the decision to
uphold the removal of F. Blackston from the Lateral Deputy Sheriff Eligibility List.
Montion carried.
4.2 D. Prado –Entry LevelCorrections Deputy Eligibility List Appeal Decision
Action:Mark Naultmoved, and Mel Ferrier seconded, to approve the decision to
uphold the removal of F. Blackston from the Lateral Deputy Sheriff Eligibility List.
Montion carried.
5. Chief Examiner Update
There are currently 6 funded vacant positions:
1 Deputy Sheriffs
5 Corrections Deputies
6. Sheriff’s Office Update
6.1 Corrections – Chief Schoeneberg
Three deputies graduating from the academy.
One in training.
FTO program remains busy.
6.2 Patrol – ChiefBeyer
FTOs active and busy.
One lateral candidate in background process.
Promotional testing upcoming for both Patrol and Corrections.
6.3 Support Staff
Team is fully staffed, cross-training, and working well together.
Other business
Gold Leadership Training: Standardized 80-hour leadership course supported by
12 participants enrolled: graduation scheduled for tomorrow.
