Meeting Minutes
April 16, 2026
The regular meeting was called to order at 5:01 P.M. by Chairperson Mark Nault.
1. Roll Call:
Commissioners present: Mark Nault, Mel Ferier
Commissioners not present: Eric Gough
Others present: Tami Beyer, and Tenielle Masteller
2. Approval of Minutes
Commissioners Mel Ferrierand Mark Nault moved and seconded to approve
February 19, 2026, regular meeting minutes.
Motion carried.
3. Open Forum for Citizen Input
There was no public comment.
4. Chief Examiner Update
4.1 Position Tracking
There are currently 6funded vacant positions:
1 Deputy Sheriffs
5 Corrections Deputies
Eighteen staff expressed interest; sixteen passed the written exam, and Work
Performance Ratings (WPRs) will be conducted next week.
5. Sheriff’s Office Update – Chief Beyer
5.1 Corrections
Two candidates are in backgrounding; one was unsuccessful, and one conditional offer
has been extended.
5.2 Patrol
One position remains open; one lateral candidate is currently in backgrounding.
5.3 Support Staff
All positions are filled; two employees are still in their probationary period.
6. Other business
Following lunch, an employee experienced a choking emergency and a colleague
performed the Heimlich maneuver. The incident will be recognized as a lifesaving event,
with merit and recognition to be shared.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:06P.M.
