COMMISSIONERS' TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the County Commissioners of Mason County have
responsibilities of official travel beyond normal business
hours; and,
WHEREAS, the assignment of public vehicles to the commis-
sioners is more expensive than the following proposal; and
WHEREAS, RCW 42.24.090 was specificly amended in 1981
(HB 636, Chapter 56, Laws of 1981) to authorize specific payments
for use of private automobiles for official travel;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the County
Commissioners are hereby authorized to utilize their private
automobiles for all official transportation in conjunction with
their positions. Payment for private automobile use shall be
made monthly from the same source as now provides the commissioners'
county cars and shall not exceed 90% percent of the equipment
rental charges for equivalent vehicles.
