DISTRIBUTION OF FEDERAL FOREST FUNDS
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.33.110, the State Treasurer has re-
tained fifty percent (50%) of Mason County's share of Federal Forest
Funds; and
WHEREAS, the State shall directly distribute these funds to the
public schools; and
WHEREAS, in past years, under the old law, the County Treasurer
received the total County share of the Federal Forest Funds and dis-
tributed these funds fifty percent (50%) to public schools and fifty
percent (50%) to County roads; and
WHEREAS, the legislative authority of Mason County wishes to
continue the past practice that fifty (50%) of the total funds be
distributed to the public schools and fifty percent (50%) of the total
funds be distributed to County roads; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.33.110, the Mason County Treasurer
has received the first 1982 payment of Federal Forest Funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Mason
County Commissioners that the County Treasurer is directed to place
the Federal Forest Funds in the amount of $173,274.12, received on
October 20, 1982, into the County Road Funds.
ADOPTED this 25th day of October, 1982.
