CREATION OF FAIR ASSOCIATION REVOLVING FUND
WHEREAS, RCW 36.37.040 authorizes the Board of Mason County
Commissioners to authorize the County Auditor to provide a
Revolving Fund to be used by fair officials "for the conduct
of the fair"
WHEREAS, this RCW was specifically designed to allow the
payment of premiums, transient labor, and the many other payments
which need to be made immediately during the period the fair is
being conducted, without going through the formality of a warrant
issue;
WHEREAS, these funds to be derived from the following Fair
Association Budget Line Items:
110-575-40-10 Fair Time Wages $ 1,600.00
110-575-40-31 Prize Money 10,000.00
110-575-40-41 Professional Services
Entertainment 5,000.00
Judges Expense 700.00
TOTAL $ 17,300,00
WHEREAS, the Board of Mason County Commissioners feels that
the creation of a Fair Association Revolving Fund is reasonable
and necessary;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Mason
County Commissioners that the Auditor and Treasurer are hereby
authorized to create a Fair Association Revolving Fund pursuant
to State of Washington, Office of State Auditor, Division of
Municipal Corporations, Bulletin No. 108.
