AUTHORIZATION FOR PAYMENT OF UNCLAIMED PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the sum of $67.00 having been paid into the registry of
the Clerk by Charles R. Lewis, Attorney, as cash bonds in probate matters
prior to 1958, and
WHEREAS, Charles R. Lewis, was deceased in 1958, and said money was
being held in the registry of the Clerk until 1975, when the Mason County
Clerk transferred said sum of $67.00 to the County Current Expense Fund
due to the passage of time, and
WHEREAS, said $67.00 was reported to the Department of Revenue on
December 21, 1981 as unclaimed property by the Mason County Clerk in
accordance with the Judgment entered in Kitsap Co. Cause #81-2-00377-8, and
WHEREAS, John Frater Lewis, the son of Charles R. Lewis, is now
claiming his right as heir to the estate of Charles R. Lewis, and the
Clerk having verified his heirship to the estate,
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Mason County Commissioners
that the Mason County Treasurer issue a remittance from Current Expense in
the sum of $67.00 payable to John Frater Lewis, as his portion of unclaimed
property reported to Department of Revenue on December 21, 1981.
ADOPTED this 29th day of March 1982.
