John Barrett, Appellant, was present at the hearing. Elizabeth Zigler, Appraiser, and Assessor Patti McLean were present. The Appellant was offered an Assessment Roll Correction for 2024, that was signed. He stated that the 2025 assessment was based on the uncorrected assessment from 2024 which carried forward the error that was made in that year. The Assessor acknowledged the error and offered a new Assessment Roll Correction for 2025 that did not take into account his further correction. The Assessor’s original assessment for tax year 2026 utilized a parcel increase of 6.78%. The new Assessment Roll Correction was based on 10.76%. The Board rejects this increase percentage and accepts the original 6.78%. Therefore, the Board sustains the value for the land at $82,260 and overrules the improvements value at $1,178,331 for a total of $1,260,591 for the subject parcel.
