Vuecrest Dr. Union,WA 98592 November 6,2025 Mason County Department of Health Services 415 N 6th St Shelton,WA 98584 RE: Ryan Edberg Property(Parcel#32015-43-90020)tank permit& prove reserve drainfield Dear Inspector: Attached is a septic tank permit for a property located at 1250 E Crestview Dr., Shelton,WA 98584. The existing septic system has no original septic records. The site has a 1,200-gallon 2-compartment septic tank followed by a d-box with speed levelers and approx. 120 LF of drainfield trenches. Based on legacy sizing standards of 120 s.f. per bedroom with a total of 360 s.f. this calculates to a 3-bedroom drainfield. The property has plenty of potential reserve drainfield area. The existing septic system has been recently inspected. The pumper did a 20-minute flow test on the drainfield and it accepted all water and is working as intended. An effluent filter has been added at the tank outlet. The existing septic served a house that burned down before the current owners purchased the property. The owners are planning to build a new 3-bedroom house in a different location from the old house so it will require a lift pump. Proposed is a new 1,200-gallon 2-compartment septic tank with a pump in the second compartment to send the sewage to the inlet of the existing septic tank. This lift pump will be on- demand and will need a high-level alert. All septic components are over 100' from the existing well. The property owner's contact information is as follows: Ryan Edberg 1250 E Crestview Dr Shelton, WA 98584 Phone: (818) 324-8706 If you need furthe formation, please contact my office at(360) 898-2255. i Sincerely, yam- ` ' 7 • I` spa 025 5100249 ' EC 1 6 2 H 6,.:1:0,... Install locator tape or rebar at each end of all drainfield laterals. 4. Install observation ports as indicated on the detailed drainfield layout. One required at distal end of each lateral in drainfield with bottom extending to the drainrock/native soil interface. Glue"T"to bottom so Observation Port cannot be easily removed from ground. Install removable cap on top of port at final grade level. 5. Install drainfield during dry weather and soil conditions; any soil smearing must be eliminated by hand raking. 6. Use distribution box with speed levelers and cover to surface. Divert incoming pipe down with 90-degree angle to prevent short-circuiting. 7. Filter fabric required over drain rock prior to back filling. If the drain rock extends above natural grade, run the filter fabric at least 2 inches down the trench wall. 8. Waterlines must be a minimum of 10' to any tank or drainfield(a reduction to 5' may be obtained with a State waiver on lots that meet minimum lot size). Encase all water lines within 10' of septic transport lines and under any driveway/parking areas. 9. Divert all storm water runoff away from on-site sewage system. 10.No curtain drains allowed within 10' of the up-slope edge or 30' of the down-slope edge of the drainfield and reserve area. 11.No vehicular traffic over drainfield area or tanks. 12.
