The existing 2-bedroom septic system has no original septic records,but it has a 500-gallon single compartment tank followed by an upgraded d-box with speed levelers and appears to have(2)40' drainfield trenches based on the growth patterns in the lawn.This would follow legacy sizing standards of 120 s.f. per bedroom with a total of 240 s.f.The property has potential reserve drainfield area. The existing home was built in 1930 and remodeled in 1982.The existing tank lid is caving in and the tank needs to be replaced. The pumper did a flow test on the drainfield and it accepted all water and is working as intended. Proposed is a new 1,000-gallon 2-compartment septic tank with an effluent filter that will tie into the existing upgraded d-box that has speed levelers. The tank is to be installed in the same location as the old tank which is 50 ft from the well and 50 ft from the lake. The old tank will need to be pumped for disposal and removed. A cleanout is required between the house and the new tank.
