This Heritage Grallt Contract (this "Contract") is entered into as of March 28, 2025, by and between Mason
County (the "County"), and the Pickering Homemakers Club (the "Grantee").

I. The Grantee has applied for a grant in the amount of $5,000 towards painting the exterior
of the Grant School and shed, including labor, materials, and taxes,
2. The County is granting up to the $4,000 requested for this projeut on a rehnbursement
basis, based on reeeipts. All persons performing the work assooiated with this grant shall
act as an independent eontraetor(s), and not as an employee(s), on the terms end
conditions set forth herein. The money for this grant comes from fees collected by the
Mason County Auditor as authorized by RCW 36.22,170, which established a dedicated
fund for supporting local historic preservation.

In consideration of the .foregoing and of the mutual promises set forth herein, and intending
to be legally bound, the parties herein agree as follows:

(a) The County hereby agrees to rehnburse the Grantee up to the f111 amount
of the grant based on receipts and a final report documeuthig the completion
of painting the exterior of the Grant School and shed, including labor,
materials, and taxes, as described in the scopo-of-work (Exhibit "D"), which
shall be peribrmed by independent contractor(s).
(b) The Grantee hereby accepts the engagement to have said work performed,
to present receipts and a final report for reimbursement and agrees to an
inspection of the final product prior to receiving payment under the terms and
conditions set forth herein.
(a) This Contract will commence on the date written above, and unless
modified by the mutual 'written agreement of the parties, shall continue until
six Inonths from that date.
March 28, 2025, to September 28, 2025
The Grantee may request a one-time six-month extension. Extension requests
must be in writing and be submitted to the Mason County Historic
Preservation Commission for approval no later .then 5:00 p.m. four months
from the date °Me award (July 28, 2025).

(a) The Grantee shall provide a scope -of -work, consistent with the grant
application, which shall be attached to this contract as Exhibit D.
(b)
Upon completion of the project the Grantee, shall provide the County
with receipts or other proof of payment (ie. bank statements) far
rehnbursement lir the work approved by this grant award. At a minimum
the receipts or other proof of' payment shall include the orgnnization's
name, billing address, date of invoice (if applicable), date of payment,
and details of expenses. Invoices without proof of payment or the
aforementioned details will not be eligible for reimbursement. Grantees
will allow at least 60-dap for reimbursement after the invoice has been
received by the County.
Upon completion of the granted project, a final report shall be submitted
by the Grantee to the Mason County Historic; Preservation Commission.
The final report shall summarize the project, its completion and
outcomes. Tim final report shall also include before and after
photographs of the completed project (if applicable). The final report
shall be submitted to the Mason County Historic Preservation
Commission, 615 West Alder St, Shelton, WA 98584 within10 ealendar
days of the authorized grant completion date (October 8, 2025).
(d) Grant recipients aro required to comply with all local, state, ancl federal
permit requirements, ordinances and laws, Non-compliance can result in
the revocation of approved funding.

EXHIBIT D
Pickering Homemakers Club - $4,000.00
The Pickering Homemakers Club will use the funds to paint the exterior
of the Grant School and shed, including labor, materials, and taxes. They
will work with volunteers and professional painters ID stop any further
deterioration and repair damaged areas of the structures. Completion of
this project will promote Mason County history by further preserving the
Grant School property as a local hub for events and education.
