Transfer of Forest LandRESOLUTION NO. 3-82 A resolution, to the Washington State Department of Natural Resources for the tranfer of forest land, held in trust, to Mason County, so said land may be used for -recreational park purposes; and WHEREAS, Mason County on the 23rd day of April, 1979 adopted their Mason County Park, Recreation, and Open Space Plan; and WHEREAS, the Mason County Board of Commissioners recognizes that parks and outdoor recreational facilities are necessary for the well-being of the community; and WHEREAS, the general community area of Belfair has for sev- eral years been in need of a site to locate such out -door recrea- tional facilities and cause to be developed under the authority of the Mason County Department of Parks and Recreation; and WHEREAS, the requested transfer of forest land, held in trust, is located in the Belfair area and the description of said land is: North 3/4, NE 1/4, NE 1/4, Section 30, Township 23-N, Range 1-W., W.M.. WHEREAS, the co_ unity as well as the Board of County Commis- sioners believe this to be an ideal site for locating outdoor recreational facilities; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by Mason County in the interest of the well-being of Mason County citizens now and in the future, that the Mason County Commissioners make an application request to the Washington State Department of Natural Resources, within the confines of R.C.W. 76.12.030 and 76.12.070, for the transfer of State Forest Land, held in trust, back to Mason County for public park use.
