Dear Mr. Murphy,
After speaking with you and reviewing Mason County Assessor
records, our office will close the above violation based on your
response that the structure in question will be removed this summer
and that you had only put new doors on and had not enlarged or
constructed anything.
The complainant indicated that it was a new structure being
made with used lumber and the inspector on site noted new cuts on
the old lumber which would be consistent with the complaint
however, Mason County Assessor records do indicate a storage
building of 100 sq ft had previously existed on site but did not
indicate on a plot plan where the structure was .
Please contact me this summer when the structure is demolished
so that I can perform a site visit and record in the file that the
shed has been removed.

This office recently investigated a complaint regarding the
non-permitted construction of a structure at the above location.
As a result of that inspection the structure was posted with a Stop
Work Order.
THE FAILURE TO STOP WORK, THE RESUMING OF WORK WITHOUT
PERMISSION FROM THE BUILDING OFFICIAL, OR THE REMOVAL,
MUTILATION, DESTRUCTION OR CONCEALMENT OF THE NOTICE IS
PUNISHABLE BY FINE AND IMPRISONMENT.
Pursuant to the Uniform Building Code and Mason County
Ordinance : No building or structure regulated by this code shall be
erected constructed enlarged, altered repaired, moved im roved
removed converted or demolished unle, a seilDarate oermit for each
building or structure has first been obtained from the building
official .
In order to bring this site into compliance with the
applicable laws, it will be necessary to either remove the non-
permitted construction or secure sa building permit to retain it .
Enclosed are the required building permit forms . Please take the
necessary steps to submit the permit or demolish the structure
prior to MAY 23, 1996 Failure to apply for the permit or remove
the structure within the given time frame or notify this office of
your intentions will result in referral of the violation to the
Mason County Prosecutor' s office for further legal action.
