Mason County Building Department requires that this be completed prior to calling for any site inspections. A re-inspection fee based on rates as adopted by the jurisdiction and the Uniform Building Code will be assessed if the owner and/or contractor fail t ost the address on site prior to requesting inspections. X This permit becomes null and void if work or constru ion authorized is not commenced within 180 days,or if construction or work is suspended for a period of 180 days at any time after work is commenced. Evidence of tinuation of work is a p ress inspection within the 180 day period. Final inspection must be approved before building can be occupied. Swenka, On November 28, 2000, our office received a complaint regarding activity occuring on site without the required permits . Upon inspection, the inspector met with the occupant, Judith, and discussed permitting requirements . At that time, they agreed that the necessary permits would be obtained prior to commencing any work which required permits . On December 29, 2000, a follow up site inspection was performed in response to a second complaint . The occupant had done plumbing work without permits as previously discussed. A stop work order was posted on site . The inspector was notified by the occupant that they would be vacating the premises . According to office records, you spoke with Mark Core on January 11, 2001 regarding occupancy, permitting requirements and the possibility of demolition. File notes indicate that you were informed of the demolition permit requirement . On January 17, 2001, the structure was posted with a Do Not Occupy notice . It was noted that demolition was in process without the required permit . In addition, I received a telephone call on February 1, 2001, regarding the possibility that you may be listing the parcel for sale . If you could contact me regarding all of these issues prior to February 20 , 2001, perhaps we could discuss your intentions relating to bringing the site into compliance .
