Assessor’s True and Fair Value BOE True and Fair Value Determination Land $ 325,805 Land $ 162,900 Improvements$ 1,293,430 Improvements$ 1,217,915 Minerals $ Minerals $ Personal Property$ Personal Property $ Total Value $ 1,619,235 Total Value $ 1,380,815 This decision is based on our finding that: The hearing was held on Thursday, February 6, 2025. Douglas and Janice Jones, Appellants, were present at the hearing. IdaMae Jensen, Assessor’s Representative, and Assessor Patti McLean were present. The Appellants stated that the adjustments to the comparable properties submitted by the Assessor were arbitrary and therefore caused their property to be assessed unnecessarily high. The Appellants submitted documentation and other comparable sales to support their argument. The Assessor determined that the valuation of the view from the subject parcel did not represent the true value. An assessment roll correction (ARC) was issued but not signed by the Appellants. The Board found a preponderance of the evidence that the original assessed value was in error. Therefore, the Board overrules the original value and sets the value for the land at $162,900and improvements at $1,217,915 for a total of $1,380,815 for the subject parcel.
