Dear Mr. Ankenman,
This letter is in regards to your application to construct a new
rest room for the Buck Lake Campground and is a follow up to a
Notice to Applicants that was given to you or your agent at the
time your permit application was submitted. As stated in that
notice, Mason county is subject to an Order of Invalidity imposed
by the Western Washington Growth Management Hearings Board on
January 14th of this year.
Unfortunately the Order of Invalidity does affect your project as
proposed. Your project can not be approved by the Planning
Department at this time as it does not meet the invalidity
exemption criteria as described in RCW36 . 70A.302 (enclosed) .
This department is hopeful that the current situation will be
resolved in a timely manner. You are welcome to reapply at such
time. If you have any questions please call me at extension 270 .

PRE-SUBMISSION CONFERENCE APPLICATION
Mason County uses the pre-submission conference to assist applicants in preparing
proposals which are consistent with all Mason County, City of Shelton (when
applicable) and PUD concerns and regulations. At the pre-submission conference,
representatives of all relevant departments will be in attendance and will be able to
inform you of the regulations.and standards with which your proposal must comply.
This is a general informational meeting for the applicant and does not constitute
approval of the proposal. Pre-submission conferences are only held on Wednesdays
and are approximately 60 minutes in length. SEVEN COPIES OF A DETAILED SITE
PLAN SHALL BE SUBMITTED ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE CONFERENCE. The site
plan must contain all setbacks between proposed and existing structures and the
property lines. If applicable, please show all critical areas (shorelines, wetlands,
landslide hazard areas.) All existing and proposed structures must be shown and
labeled with their use and the type of construction materials to be used (i.e. stick built,
modular, etc.) PLEASE PRINT when c pleting this application.
