On Friday November 1, 2013, you came into the Mason County Permit Assistance Center with
questions, a prepared letter, and photos regarding a dangerous tree along the shoreline of
Wooten Lake on your property at 272 NE Lake Dr., Tahuya (Parcel No. 22330-50-00189). I
noted the location of the tree in close proximity of the new dock & stairs nearby to the lake. I
understand the scope of the height and lean of this old and declining health tree; the need for
careful cutting and removal of the noted tree close to the lake and close to improvements that
concerns you; and the planned maintaining of the existing shrub coverage near the lake.
Due these reasons, you may proceed with your proposed danger tree removal on this parcel per
Mason County Resource Ordinance standards, and the needed care from damage to existing
improvements and adjacent upland vegetation. You may contact me for further information.
