In order to propose development on land around Mason County,the Department of Community Development offers a Planning Site Inspection to provide setback standards and observe features of the properly that may affect your proposal. Department records show that you and your contractor were issued the demolition permit on July 16,2013 for the removal of the old structure. You were not approved for the extensive vegetation removal between the building and the edge of Haven Lake. To alter the existing vegetation cover as part of the demolition work,you would have been required to submit a Mason Environmental Permit and habitat management plan prior to the work being undertaken,to evaluate the proposed structure removal and vegetation trimming or clearing on the subject property. To proceed with reviews to address these concerns,you will need to submit the following: • Mason Environmental Permit =$630.00 • Habitat Management Plan Review =$445.00 • Planning Violation Fine=$255.00 • State Environmental Review=$385.00 • Building permit(s)=depending on development proposed. • Habitat Management Plan submittal from Qualified Professional.
