The term is for two years. This person must be a member of the public at large who resides within Mason County and shall serve without compensation. The general purpose of the LEOFF Board is to consider claims for disability and sickness made by law enforcement officers or fire fighters as provided under the Washington Law Enforcement Officers' and Fire Fighters' Retirement System Act. (See RCW 41.26) The Mason County LEOFF Board typically meets on the 1"Tuesday of each month at 8:00 a.m. in the Mason County Commission Chambers,411 North 5'Street, Shelton.
