Envirotech Engineering (Envirotech) completed a site visit on April 1, 2025 to the property in order to
observe surface and subsurface conditions. This geotechnical evaluation addresses the proposed RV
holding tank with relation to landslide hazards on and near the property. Information collected from site
observations and field testing was completed by Envirotech. We reviewed the proposed septic plan by M.
Halverson Design,LLC.
Subsurface conditions were visually classified as a shallow layer of silty sand with gravel(SM)overlying
cemented glacial fill soils. The septic tank area is has natural moderately sloping grades. Critical slopes
exceeding 40% were observed on the properly at least 200 feet away to the west, and to the east beyond
Paradise Drive.
It is our opinion that the proposed septic tank will not influence the nearby critical descending slopes
exceeding 40°/a, provided that vegetation remains undisturbed on the critical slopes. Earth movement
remains a potential within the critical slopes, but this feature is located outside the influence zone of the
proposed work.

Holding Tank Sewage Systems-Recommended Standards and Guidance

Introduction
A Holding Tank Sewage System (HTSS)is an alternative to a conventional on-site sewage
system with very special and limited applications. Simply,the HTSS provides a means to collect
and temporarily store sewage from a facility or dwelling,for subsequent removal and transport to
an approved treatment and disposal site. Depending upon the facility served or the particular set
of circumstances surrounding the use of a HTSS,the expense of sewage pumping,hauling, and
disposal at an approved facility can be very costly, especially on a long-term basis. In addition,
the potential for operational/management problems with resulting public exposure to raw sewage
is significant. For this reason, use of a HTSS must be closely regulated by the local health
agency.
A HTSS is an on-site sewage system that incorporates a holding tank,the services of a sewage
pumper/hauler, and the off-site treatment and disposal of the sewage generated at the site served
by the HTSS.
