Hello Donna,
A buoy or small float that is chain anchored may be placed out to 8' feet of water on Wooten Lake, as long as it
is not causing a navigational hazard and you are the owner of the area in the lake where it is to be anchored.If
you are not the owner of where it is anchored, you will need to obtain a lease from the Dept of Natural
Resources to anchor it on the bottom.A Shoreline Exemption is required from Mason County.I have attached
the application form. You may complete and return it to the Permit Assistance center with the applicable $255
fee for process of the exemption. Please send to the Permit Assistance Center at 426 West Cedar Street, Shelton,
WAS 98584.
