Below you will find comments made regarding the proposed development and its critical values. Sincerely, a S I Kell McAbov Land Use Planner Mason County Planning Department 8/3/2016 Page 1 of 2 SP12016-00065 Site Inspection 8/3/2016 Case No.: SP12016-00065 Comments: Pre-inspection for COLLINS for the purpose of determining permits required for bringing in 100 yards of fill material, plus 3-4 man rock to be placed within a wetland buffer for landscaping purposes. The subject parcel is located along Lake Christine, which is regulated as a Wetland under Mason County's Resource Ordinance Chapter 17.01.070. The parcel slopes gently from Lake Christine Road down to the edge of the wetland. The property is tiered to a flat area between the road and the wetland to accommodate a recreational vehicle and deck. The area waterward of the deck consists of previously disturbed area with a firepit and grassy area. There is a springfed stream that empties into the wetland on the southern boundary of the property. The Wetland Chapter allows certain activity within a wetland buffer with a Mason Environmental Permit. See Section 17.01.070 D.1.a and 17.01.070 F. Proposed activity shall not impact stream on the southern boundary, nor shall it impact the wetland itself. MEP will be conditioned to avoid sediment impacts to both stream and wetland. MEP application shall include detail description and drawing of proposed activity.
