Dear Ms. Smith
The Department of Community Development received your drawings for the Bulkhead that was
constructed on your property at 121 NE Park Ln. Along with the construction drawings we will also need
the Building permit application filled out,a site plan that shows the location of the bulkhead on the
property,also the location of your septic tank and drainfield.
I have enclosed a Building permit application,with a site plan instruction sheet. Within the site plan packet
they do have a blank sheet that you can use. We have also filled out the submittal fee sheet. This fee will
need to be paid at the time the Building permit in taken in. After we have completed the review and the
permit is ready to be picked up their will also be an additional fee at that time.
In addition to the building permit application you will need to submit the following environmental permit
applications. Mason Environmental Permit,Habitat Management Plan,Mason County Environmental
Checklist,and a Joint Aquatic Resource Permit Application(JARPA). We have enclosed all the
applications with a list of the fee for each.
I have made you extra copies of the construction plans;we will need 3 copies at the time you submit the

Notice
The receipt of this notice shall constitute service regarding notification of violations of
the Mason County Code, and shall also serve as Warning Notice pursuant to Mason
County Code, Title 15, Section 15.13.035. The violation(s) are occurring at the
following property:
Enforcement Case No.: ENF2008-00141
Parcel No.: 223205000014
Site Address: 131 NE PARK LN TAHUYA
You are receiving this notice because of the following:
❑ Filling and grading within a regulated wetland/wetland buffer.
Lakes under 20 acres are considered wetlands per 17.01.070 (B)(b) and Shoreline
Master Program 17.50.040 (Definitions). Lake Christine is a wetland.
The specific Mason County Code(s) that apply to this activity are as follows:
❑ Mason County Resource Ordinance: 17.01.070 (Wetlands) (D)(1)(e) and (D)(1)(f).

According to the Mason County Assessor records, parties named above hold legal
interest in the parcel and are therefore subject to enforcement action for failure to
comply.
The parties shall respond to the county within twenty days of the postmark,
posting on site, or delivery of the notice.
Order
YOU ARE HEREBY ORDERED to abate violations in the following manner:
By 10/10/08 you must:
1. Submit a wetland delineation report.
2. Submit a restoration plan.
After review of the above items additional items may be requested. If you would like
to keep the structure and fill located within the buffer, please submit the items
addressed in Genie McFarland's letter dated September 8, 2008 as well. Submittal
of permit applications does not guarantee approval.
Penalties
After the fact permits are subject to a triple fee penalty. Documents that are
supplemental to application do not have additional penalty fees.
In the event that you fail to comply, by the compliance deadline of 10/10/08 we will pursue
additional enforcement action against you, including but not limited to recording against the
parcel, civil infractions, liens against the property through the Mason County Hearings
Examiner process and/or criminal prosecution as allowed under Title 15.13 of the Mason
County Code.
In the event that you feel you have received this notice in error or that the facts are

Permit applications are accepted at the Permit Assistance Center, Mason County Building
3, 426 W Cedar ST, Shelton WA. Complete applications must be submitted with all
applicable fees and supplemental documents.
