1. Chair Shutty called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.
2. Approval of Agenda
Cmmr.Trask/Peggy VanBuskirk moved and seconded to approve the agenda as presented. Motion
carried.
3. Program Expansion for Substance Use Mobile Outreach
Melissa Casey shared additional funding was received from the Department of Health(DOH)to
expand the current mobile program to add clinical services such as STI,HIV,and Hepatitis C testing
and treatment. Transportation and mobility challenges continue to be an issue. Staff have met with
legal and risk management to ensure this work is covered under the scope of work.
Christina Muller-Shin shared that this program began in November of 2018 and provided a five-year
report on participant breakdown,demographics, site usage,risk factors,behaviors, and needs.
Christina shared the Substance Use Mobile Outreach Home Service Program Expansion presentation.
Topics included a presentation overview,background,proposed service expansion,why home
services,safety considerations,next steps, and feedback. This would be a one-year pilot program with
the mission to remove barriers for access.
Peggy VanBuskirk/Cmmr.Trask moved and seconded to move the Program Expansion for Substance
Use Mobile Outreach to the Board of County Commissioners with support from the Board of Health.
Motion carried.
