RE: Nick Gagliardi Tree Removal Proposal [491 Mountain View Dr., Tahuya]
[Wooten Lake Tracts 27 and 28]
Dear Mr. Byrne:
I have reviewed the proposed work to remove a very large tree that has fallen completely
into the waters of Lake Wooten. This work will need access to the lake but the work of
removal will be done on the lake surface. This work would need a Hydraulic Project
Approval to accomplish the proposed tree removal.
For the reasons of needed clearing of the fallen tree and minimal impacts to the lake and
beach by the needed equipment, the proposed work would be exempt from State
Environmental Policy Act review and no SEPA checklist is needed for the project as
proposed.
Since the proposal involves work valued at less than $2500 value and is needed cleanup
following the fall of the tree along the shore, the planned work would be exempt from the
requirement of a shoreline substantial development permit prior to the needed cleanup.
