Dept. of General Services PO Box 186 Shelton, WA 98584 SR 3 MP 26.06 Lt. Donald Casteel Commercial Garage E.C. File No. 88453—M Dear Ms. Miller: We have received your request for review of the above proposal and offer the following comments: The location of the existing access shown on the submittal is acceptable to the Department provided that the access is accurately depicted on the plan and will be the only access to the State highway system. The Department requests that some form of barrier such as landscaping or fencing be placed on the property line to ensure that traffic utilizes only the approved approach for access. Road Approach Application No. M88-243 is currently in process. Surface water runoff directed to the State highway right--of-way must not exceed pre-development runoff. The Department will not be responsible for noise attenuation if the subject property experiences noise levels in excess of the maximum allowed for the proposed land use. Advertising signs visible from an adjacent State highway must comply with the State Scenic Vistas Act of 1971, which is administered by the Department. For information regarding the signing regulations, contact the District 3 Traffic Operations office at 753-7221. Thank you for the opportunity to review the proposal. If there are any questions regarding our comments, please contact Pete Lorenzo at 753-1901. • Sincerely, JAMES M. 11BASCHER, P.E. Assistant Project Development Engineer District 3 JMB JRS/PJL cc: C.
