comments:
As requested by your telecon,I have enclosed a full size dwg(2406)of the Site Plan for the subject
project. You will note that we have revised location for the storm drainage infiltration pond. We have also
added a few parking stalls north of the existing driveway, for the Postal delivery truck turn-around and to
allow occasional motor homes to pull in off the highway. The drainage analysis is in process of being
revised. We will submit it with the SEPA and the Pre-submission conference.
I have had a further conversation with Cindy Wait at County Envr health after we investigated the septic
tank. They concur with the plan to replace the existing tank and add a distribution box to reuse the
existing drain field. We appreciate your expeditious response on your site visit so we can submit for the
pre-submission conference. Michael tells me that plans received by Wed,he can schedule the meeting
the following Wed.Maybe you can tell me if that submission should be full size dwgs or will 11x17
suffice.

notes: Subject: Pre-Submission—Potable Water Availability
E'IOi00&8111100 Telecom notes w/Mason County, Environmental Health;Steffame Kenney Ext 293
1. In Telecm with Steffanie Kenney on 8/10/00, she advised that connecting the new Postal Facilityto the
existing Lilliwaup Store &Motel Water system ID 447249K would require a State permit to extend
the water line, some 200-ft. She advised that we needed to contact the State Health Dept for permit.
2. In Telecon of 8/11/00, Stefianie corrected the County's position. After checking with her supervisor,
Debbie Riley, she advised that contrary to her statement of 8/10/00, since the Postal Facility is a
relocation, the court will not require any submission or peanissim from the State Health Dept. The
County will issue USPS a permit for construction. This is not to say however, that the State may
require that the water system be certified with proper As-built details at a later time.
In summary,URS Corp will submit Application for a Conference with Mason County and indicate that
water availability is a relocation of the potable water to the existing Post Office.
