While on site, QG advanced 3 Wildcat Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP)test at a representative location within the vicinity of the wall. The penetrometer test was terminated upon reaching refusal due to dense soil conditions. During penetrometer advancement, blow counts were recorded in 10-centimeter increments as a thirty-five-pound weight was dropped 15 inches.Blow counts were then converted to resistance(kg/cm2), standard penetration blow counts (N-values),and corresponding soil consistency,with complete results shown on the attached logs. QG evaluated existing conditions during our visit. Native soils were found above the wall with the topsoil removed. WMILT G was u M MIMINte more than 1 foot above the wall at DQP-3. The soil was wet at the surface with puddling water both above and below the wall due to prior rain and overcast weather conditions Dural,native soils' d unyielding conditio footprint DCP-2 and DCP-3 revealed soils to be in a very dense condition by 2-feet below grade. QG infers hardpan to exist between 1 to 2 feet below grade across the general wall footprint. At this time, QG does not recommend further assessment of the hardpan below the wall on site.
