MEETING MINUTES
MASON COUNTY COMMISSION CHAMBERS
February 4, 2025
Members Present: Nick Patterson - Law Enforcement Representative - Chair; Ed Haefliger-
Firefighter Representative; Sylvia Florez-Milsom - Member at Large; Randy Neatherlin - Mason
County Commissioner; Melissa Stearns- City of Shelton; Danielle Thompson- Secretary. Guests;
McKenzie Smith- Clerk of the Board; Ravyn Marshall- Support Services.
Chairperson Nick Patterson called the meeting to order at 8:03 a.m.
Introduction of Guests- McKenzie Smith, Mason County Commissioners Clerk of the Board,
to clerk future meetings. Ravyn Marshall, Mason County Support Services, to process all future
medical reimbursements
Approval of Minutes:
Neather/in/Stearn motion and seconded approval of January 7, 2024 Minutes Motion carried.

LEOFF board acknowledges correspondence received from LEOFF member.
Executive Session - Review of Bills
LEOFF board began discussion of increasing Dental Coverages in reference to Bill to consider.
Per the current policy any Dental Coverages exceeding the$2,000 annual limit must be
preapproved by the board.
Neatherlin made a motion to approve up to the$2,000 limit and seconded by Haefiiger.
Discussion ensued; the motion did not carry.
Secretary of the Board read the policy and recapped previous members approval exceeding the
limit.
Haefliger withdrew his second.
Haefliger makes a motion to approve the bill in its entirety and Florez-Milsom seconds Further
discussion ensued; the motion did not carry.
Neatheriin makes a motion to approve up to the$2,000 limit with the possibility to resubmit if
the Dental Policy changes/Haefliger second. Motion Carried.
Secretary of the Board to pro vide information regarding R.C.W.'s and neighboring counties
LEOFF board policies regarding Dental Coverage.
LEOFF board agrees to meet in person for March meeting to further discuss dental coverage
limits
