Bottom of footing must be placed 12" below grade. * Provisions for surface/subsurface drainage control must be implemented with new construction or development on site and MUST NOT adversely impact adjacent parcels. Under the requirements of Mason County Stormwater Ordinance, either private ditches and drains will meet requirements of the stormwater ordinance or prior approval will be granted to use an existing utility and drainage easement dedicated for that specific purpose. For further information regarding this ordinance and the REQUIREMENT to obtain an ACCESS PERMIT for the installation/construction of a driveway or access connecting from a Mason County Road, Contact the Mason County Public Works Department prior to construction at Ext 450. If an inspection is called for and plans are not available on site, then approval will not be granted. In addition a Mason County Building Inspector may perform the inspection provided holes are prepared in accordance to manufacturer specifications that are available on-site during inspection. Special inspectors shall inspect the installation of grouted construction anchors as stated in the manufacturers specifications. An inspection report shall be prepared and submitted to the Mason County Building Department prior to the framing inspection of the project. * Concrete used for basement walls, foundation walls, exterior walls, porches, carport slabs, steps exposed to the weather, garage floor slabs and other vertical concrete work exposed to the weather shall have a minimum compressive strength of 3000 psi (IRC Table R402.2). * In addition to the inspections required in IBC, Section 110, the owner, the engineer or architect of record acting as the owner's agent shall employ one or more special inspectors who shall provide inspections during construction on the types of work listed under Chapter 17 and as specified by the design professional. The special inspectors duties & responsibilities shall be as specified in Chapter 17. Special inspection reports shall be submitted to the Mason County Building Department, 615 W Alder St, Shelton WA98584 and available for inspection. Inspection reports shall be completed and submitted to the dept. in a timely manner and shall be submitted prior to the framing and final occupancy inspections. * All off-site welding must be completed by an approved fabrication shop. All on-site welding must be completed by a WABO certified welder and all inspections must be completed per the requirements noted within section 1705 of the 2015 International Building Code (IBC).All reports and approved welder certification card must be submitted to the building department for review. At completion of fabrication, the certified fabricator shall submit a certificate of compliance stating that the work was performed in accordance with the approved construction documents. A copy of the certificate of compliance shall be provided to the Mason County Building Department prior to the framing inspection and available, on-site for inspections. Mason County has been provided a temporary plan to address the accessibility of the proposed bridge. The bridge as proposed, does not comply with accessibility. The Ridge has provided a detail to provide temporary accommodations to and from the inside track features. The temporary proposal to provide shuttle accommodations for ADA access is allowed until November 1, 2020. The shuttle must be provided at all events in which the inside track is open for grandstand or grass seating. All items located on the inside track must be provide with accessibility (route, restrooms and grandstands) The bridge will not be granted a final occupancy until such time as all accessibility is meet. Temporary occupancy may be granted until Nov. 1, 2020. At this time all accessibility must be met and inspected by Mason County. * This permit does not include any grandstand seating. CONCRETE PLACEMENT:Continuous Inspection MTC inspector on site,as requested,to observe the placement of approximately 20 CY of concrete with Mix Design ID #0155A supplied by Miles Sand&Gravel into the slab-on-grade noted above. One set of five(4"x 8")cylinders was cast for compressive strength test specimens. Refer to Report#C225415 for field test results and for more information.
