Upon Dispatch drove to site and found a established block(manor stone)fire pit two blocks high and
5ft in dia, full of house- hold garbage burning .I told the home owner he must put it out now.He had to
go and find the garden hose and attach it to fawset and then discovered the house water was shut off.He
then turned system back on and proceeded to put the fire out.I then explained the rules of proper
disposal of household rubbish and the recycling options in Mason County and also explained the
effects of second hand smoke and toxic nature of the debris he was burning as well as a total burn ban
in effect. The property owner was very quiet and did as requested.
