As part of this department's review of your permit application, a Shoreline Inspection (SPI)
was performed on your property. Below you will find comments made regarding the
proposed development and its critical values.
In some cases, setbacks for development from shorelines, steep slopes, streams, and
wetlands must be included in your specific proposal, these setbacks are included as part of
the comments listed below.
This information is based on County and State regulations as they exist to date. These
regulations may change and may affect the requirements for development of the subject
property.

Comments: Site inspection on May 19, 2000 by planning staff Shandra O'Haleck to
determine regulations concerning rebuilding cabin on site. Two small cabins exist on this
parcel, both less than 1000 square feet. Owner wishes to demolish and rebuild one cabin.
Being rebuilt as a primary residence will not require shoreline permits, only the neccesary
building permits. The separation between buildings is a building department issue and
applicant should contact the Mason County Plans Examiner, Mike Barth, at 427-9670,
extension 551 for these regulations. Rebuilding the cabin at the present setback from the
shoreline will meet common line setback.
