Tahuya, WA 98588-9681 NOTICE OF MASON COUNTY CODE VIOLATION ENFORCEMENT CASE FILE NUMBER:ENF2011-00063 PARCELNUMBER: 32212-34-00010 SITE ADDRESS: 1661 NE Tahuya River Rd.Tahuya Dear Ms.Peterson: On September 16, 2011,I inspected the above-referenced property regarding a complaint reported to the Mason County Department of Community Development. The complaint referenced trees within a stream buffer being cut. I found that tree branches were cut and laid on the bank between the river and the cabin,but no recent cutting of trees or presence of stumps was observed. This letter is to inform you that under the Mason County Resource Ordinance Sec. 17.01.110(G), a Mason Environmental Permit and Habitat Management plan must be submitted for project work involving alteration of streams, or destruction of their buffers through clearing,harvesting, shading, intentional burning, or vegetation removal. If a proposal involves more than tree or shrub branch removal,you will need to submit the following: • Mason Environmental Permit with potential after-the-fact fees • Habitat Management Plan Review • Planning Violation Fine A professional that meets the criteria outlined in the Mason County Code would prepare the habitat management plan.
