Attached is the Building Permit Application for the subject 800sf storage/camping shelter structure. This
garage like structure is to be used to store "zip line equipment" and to house a small climbing wall for
use by supervised scouting programs. It will have two overhead garage doors and a dirt/gravel floor
protected and designed for youth and ADA access for scouting merit badges.
The site is in a clearing that is in close proximity to the existing COPE course and Zip Line. The structure
is being located to the east of the natural ridge line and will be at least 300 feet from the natural slopes
that exceed 20%to the west towards Hood Canal. The site is actually on the opposite side of the ridge
lire and gently slopes towards Aldrich Lake over 1000 feet to the east. Therefore, no Geological
Assessment is required.
The structure is a simple garage like structure with no utilities and only the 800sf roof line is the
impervious surface. Therefore only the roof structure related drainage management is required.
Normal best practices during construction and control of surface runoff will be used. Special pervious
surface material will be used for the access to the structure for ADA purposes while also minimizing the
surface runoff issue.
