It appears that damage occurred to the structure located at the site due to the snow and rain event that occurred during December 2008 and January 2009. During the site inspection the Mason County Building inspector found the following: The roof of the structure permitted as a garage in 1994 collapsed. The structure was posted as a dangerous building, not approved for occupancy. Photos taken during the inspection are enclosed. This notice is sent to assist you with information concerning permits required to replace the structure. Mason County will not require a demolition permit to remove the building, however a building permit shall be required to replace the damaged structure. A building permit application package is enclosed. In addition, Mason County staff is available to assist if you have additional questions.
