Dear Rhonda,
In reply to your request for justification of the waste strength and flow:
1) There will be no food preparation or any other furnishings connected to the proposed septic
system, and the bathrooms will not have floor drains. Therefore waste strength should not
exceed that of residential strength and thus excess methane production should not occur. Explosion-
proof wiring is therefore not necessary in the effluent pump
2) There will be no more than 30 employees per day working at the entire facility. Actually maybe
half that, but I wanted to ensure adequate capacity for any contingencies. Using the EPA manual
for typical wastewater flows (see attached)for an office employee (nearest example for this type of
work), the typical daily flow per employee is 13gpd. This equates to 390gpd for the entire
facility.
The test holes have been re-excavated to 5'-6'+ and are open and ready for your inspection.
