Utilizing Bulldozer - GRD Letters / Memos - 7/7/1995
From:Vern.Rutter To:Don Brush 1.360-427.8425 10i7195 20:06:25 - 1 of 2 On Friday, July 7, 1995, DoUg Neyhart and another rnarn utilizing a bulldozer were on his property at M.E. 2061 Tahuya River Rd., Tahuya, WA, at approximately 8:00 A.M. It was the same rnan who had removed all vegetation and trees from his property in May 1945 (Edgar Beaver). My husband and I were working in our Ceramics shop which is approximately 50' from the area where the bulldozer was situated. It was apparent that he was moving the pile of debris which was the old dwelling that had burned, later been demolished, and had remained on the property since March 1995. We observed that the pile was diminishing but not being taken anywhere The bulldozer operator was sirnply moving the pile to the left of where it was originally ptaceed (area where the new house is now situated). We had to go somewhere at 9:30 A M. so i called my neighbor, Marie Key, and told her I believed that the old house ;debris) was being buried. At that point one half of the pile had dimir;;Ishl ed and no dump truck had been brought onto Doug Neyhart's property to remove it. When we left our driveway there was a small whits dump truck with a low boy attached to it to haul the bulldozer (Mr. Beaver's truck). We returned home at 12:O0 Noon and the pile was completely gone, the dump truck was still parked at the top of the road, and the bulldozer was still on Doug Neyhart's prcp©rty. The operator (and Doug) remained, moved and piled trees which he had knocked down ire May and left at approximately 7:010 P.M. J N ichael . Adams and ary . I walked over and stood 30 feet from his property. I observed him burying the remains of the burned house. This all took place in 41/2 hours. He spent the rest of the day pushing dirt on top of the house debris. There is a new mobile home directly over the location where I observed Neyhart bury the remains of the burned house.
