A Resolution establishing a Cumulative Reserve Fund for
unanticipated trial costs in the Superior Court of Mason County®
WHEREAS the County is authorized by RCW 36 .33 .020 . 040 to
establish cumulative reserve funds for county purposes and
WHEREAS such a fund is desireable for payment of
unanticipated legal costs in criminal trials in the Mason County
Superior Court; and
WHEREAS the County Commissioners have already budgeted
in the 1984 Mason County Budget for such costs;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED®
THAT there is hereby established a Mason County Legal
Cumulative Reserve Fund (hereinafter called the Legal Fund) ; and,
THAT the Mason County Treasurer is directed -to transfer the
$15 ,000 budgeted in 1984 for trial costs into such a separate and
distinct interest bearing Legal Fund; and,
THAT withdrawals from the Legal Fund shall be made only when
authorized by vouchers submitted by the defense attorney (s) to
the County Clerk and approved by the Superior Court Judge and by
the Mason County Auditor and Commissioners; and,
THAT such withdrawals shall be made only for payment of
unanticipated criminal trial costs in the Mason County Superior
Court; and,
THAT the Legal Fund shall be replenished by the County
Commissioners in each annual budget to the extent deemed
necessary®
