WHEREAS , RCW 36 . 32 . 270 authorized the County Commissioners to
dispense with bidding requirements in an emergency situation when
public safety or property are damaged or threatened ; and ,
WHEREAS , recent snows and storms have so damaged the
caretaker ' s house on the Mason County Fairgrounds so that further
damage to such county property is imminent and personnel safety is
threatened ;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED , that an emergency as defined by
RCW 36 . 32 . 270 does exist and that the Mason County Fair Manager is
authorized to proceed immediately without bids to procure the
necessary material and effect he necessary repairs to said Fairground
property .
