A Stormwater Site Plan prepared to address potential stormwater runoff impacts anticipated from
a proposed Green Diamond Resource Company forest harvest in the Mason Lake area has been
received and reviewed by Public Works.
Though the plan is very brief, it appears to adequately convey the applicant's intention of
implementing appropriate stormwater management features and procedures during their harvest
operations.
Detection of silt or mud emanating from the timber harvest areas will be considered a failure of
the temporary sediment and erosion control measures, and will require immediate and effective
remedies.
Negligence, or careless execution of the proposed stormwater erosion and sediment control
measures will result in enforcement actions by the County, and could subject the applicant to
civil penalties and/or fines.

EM177 STORM WATER SITE PLAN
The majority of the area is flat ground with two natural depressions
in the southwest part and a shallow swale on the east. All three of
these areas have flagged leave areas that will be protected with silt
fencing from storm water that originates from the gravel roads.
Disturbance of the understory vegetation along the Mason Lake
Road and the private property in the north east will be kept to a
minimum by the use of a feller/buncher machine to fall the trees
away from the road and the house and tree length yarding to reduce
the volume of high fire hazard limb and top debris.
The road entrances to the County's Mason Lake Road will have
straw bales to filter the ditch water and be armored with clean
crushed rock to minimize or prevent the tracking of dirt on the
paved county road.
