A review of the proposed development by Alan Tahja, Mason County Public Works of the stormwater management issues, necessitate that the following information be provided: 1. A report, by the Coot Company dated March 26, 1998, indicates fill material has been placed in a natural drainage way and that some impact to the drainage has been accomplished in terms of natural drainage detention areas, and natural drainage features. Removal of fill from the drainage swale was recommended, at that time. Observed 8-19-03, was placement of fill material on the subject property, however it was difficult to ascertain if or how much had been removed. Please provide information regarding this issue. 2. Please indicate how much impervious surface will be created by the proposed project. Include rooftops, driveways and other paved areas. Staff recognizes that the Mason County Building Department reviewed the subject property on August 29, 2003, in order to assess the soil compaction and fill of the proposed foundation of the property. 3. A more westerly location for the driveway was proposed due to flooding concerns. It is recommended that an alternate driveway location be provided for the current development. Mason County Public Works can assist you in this matter. In addition, the subject property is located within an Aquifer Recharge Area. The owner of any site within a designated Critical Aquifer Recharge Area as identified in the Mason County Critical Aquifef Recharge Areas map, on which a development proposal is submi must record a notice with the Mason County Auditor. Once the Title Notification is recorded with the Mason County Auditor's Office, a copy of the notice is to be submitted to the Mason County Planning Department. This copy is required prior to the issuance of the Building Permit(s). A form has been attached for your convenience. Please complete, sign, record and return the form to this office as soon as possible to avoid delays in the processing of your permit. Please be prepared to pay $19.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page at the time of recording. Also included for your referral is the Critical Aquifer Recharge Areas section of the Mason County Resource Ordinance. 9/16/2003 2 of 2 BLD2003-01134 MASON COUNTY PERMIT NO. _ ( Ir3 BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION 426 W.
