My office has been notified that you have been burning illegally on your property
at 91 E. Colnakilty Drive, Shelton, Washington..
The purpose of this letter is to advise you that your property is located inside a
Smoke Management Zone. And no fires larger than 4'x4' are permitted at
anytime inside these Zones.
Also to advise you that burning of trash and materials other than natural
vegetation is illegal in Washington State. It is my policy to notify Olympic
Regional Clean Air Agency in these matters. You will probably receive a letter
from their agency on your recent situation.
If you choose to disregard this warning and continue to burn trash and fires
larger than 4'x4' on your property you could receive a citation from this office
which would require a mandatory court appearance, a fine of up to $500.00
and/or 90 days in jail.
Your compliance is strongly suggested.
