A. Demo, Removal, and Disposal
a. Demo, remove and dispose of the following:
i. Existing pier and float
ii. All fixed pier piles and eight floating dock positioning piles
iii. All existing concrete from the shoreline
iv. Two existing concrete anchors
v. NOTE 1:The existing mooring buoy with sinking line will be left in place
B. Pier
a. Construction of 4' x 29'fixed pier using Alaskan yellow cedar
i. Grating shall be installed on at least 50%of the functional deck surface per code; remaining deck
surface shall be 5/46 Alaskan yellow cedar
ii. All (8) pier pilings shall be 6" galvanized piles driven to refusal, spaced approx 8' on center
iii. Rim joists shall be 2"x 12" Alaskan yellow cedar
iv. Joists shall be 2" x 8"Alaskan yellow cedar spaced 16" on center
v. Support girders shall be 6" x 8" Alaskan yellow cedar
vi. All cross-bracing shall be 2" x 6" Alaskan yellow cedar
vii. All hardware shall be galvanized or stainless steel
viii. Pier shall be constructed per engineered drawings and all applicable codes
i. NOTE: Client has requested that no bulkhead be constructed around pier for protection of
landward piles
C. Ramp
a. Installation of 3' x 6' pre-fabricated grated aluminum ramp from fixed pier to floating dock
i. Ramp will have guardrails on each side
ii. Float shall be positioned approx 24" from the pier
D. Floating Dock
a. Construction of 8' x 20'floating dock

surface shall be 5/4x6 Alaskan yellow cedar

side per connection
viii. Pile hoops shall be attached with 3/4" lag bolts
ix. 4 cleats shall be installed; Client to determine location

xi. Side bumpers shall be installed on the front of the floating dock and two sides
xii. Additional mooring capacity shall be provided by installing 6x8 AYC framing, to remain open, in
triangle shape at waterward end of float

i. Cradle shall consist of using the two landward positioning piles,four additional stub-piles,and 6x8
