PARKING RESTRICTION
Hartstene Bridge Road - #3000
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the Board of County Commissioners' attention
that a potential hazard exists to the traveling public because of vehicles parking
from the east end of the Hartstene Island Bridge to the termination of the Hartstene
Bridge Road, #3000; and,
WHEREAS, vehicle parking at this location has restricted sight distance and has
restricted the traveled way to the traveling public; and,
WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic investigation has determined that it is in
the best interest and safety of the traveling public to assure a clear and unobstructed
roadway.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that vehicular parking shall be prohibited
on or within all county right-of-way, beginning at Mile Post 0.47, the east end of
Hartstene Island Bridge, and terminating at Mile Post 0.58, 100 feet west of the
intersection with the North and South Island Drives.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, under the authority of RCW 46.61.570(1)(c) (ii ) , the
parking shall be prohibited and the County Engineer is instructed to cause the erection
of the appropriate signing to enact this resolution.
