WHEREAS, property owners of Government Lot 1, located at
Triton Cove in the extreme N.W. portion of Mason County, now desire
to become a part of Mason County Fire Protection District #17 , and
WHEREAS, a petition, signed by more than 60o of the qualified
voters in the above noted area requesting the above annexation has
been approved by the Board of Commissioners of M.C.F.P.D. #17 , the
calling of a hearing and/or election is precluded by RCW 52 . 08 . 060 ,
and,
WHEREAS, the County Auditor has determined that the signers
of the petition are qualified voters of the area.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Mason County
Commissioners approves and authorizes the incorporation of the above
noted area into M.C.F.P.D. #17 .
