DISTRIBUTION OF FEDERAL FOREST FUNDS
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36 . 33 . 110 , the State Treasurer
retained fifty percent (500) of Mason County' s share of Federal
Forest Funds; and
WHEREAS, the State shall directly distribute these funds
to the public schools; and
WHEREAS, in past years, under the old law, the County
Treasurer received the total County share of the Federal Forest
Funds and distributed these funds fifty percent (500) to public
schools and fifty percent (500) to County roads; and
WHEREAS , the legislative authority of Mason County wishes
to continue the past practice that fifty percent (500) of the
total funds be distributed to the public schools and fifty percent
(500) of the total funds be distributed to County roads, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36 . 66 . 110 , the Mason County
Treasurer has received the second 1984 payment of Federal Forest
Funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of .Mason
County Commissioners that the County Treasurer is directed to
place the Federal Forest Funds in the amount of $77 , 581. 86
received on December 10 , 1984 , into the County Road Funds .
ADOPTED this llth day of February, 1985 .
