The"Field Report"prepared for the proposed Art Lambson Single Family Residence(SFR)to be
constructed at"Lot C of Short Plat Subdivision#800, Shelton",has been received and reviewed
by Public Works.
The report contains a lot of useful information,but not enough to determine whether the engineer
intended to meet County reporting requirements for either a geotechnical report, or a
geotechnical assessment. The cross section submitted on page#2 of the field report indicates that
the property contains slopes exceeding 40%,but the height of this"steep"slope is not provided,
so I cannot determine whether the engineer intended to meet assessment reporting requirements,
or report level reporting requirements.
Mr. Morta's assessments and reports have been growing more and more brief, but I cannot
consider the submitted materials adequate to meet either of the County's two levels of reporting
requirements.
In summary,the geotechnical "field report"submitted to fulfill County requirements for
geotechnical reporting does not provide enough information to be able to recommend acceptance
as meeting County geotechnical reporting requirements.
The field report should be returned to the applicant,or their engineer, for completion in
compliance with the County's Landslide Hazard Areas reporting requirements.
