I'm happy to answer the questions on the JARPA form, however, for Mason County, a JARPA form is not required. Lake Standstill is not a Shoreline of the State so the proper permit for the county is a Mason Environmental Permit (MEP)which is found here. If you are replacing a ramp and float with no expansion, then the pro ct is SEPA exempt. Please talk to building department to see if you need a building permit in addition tote P. You can reach them at 360-427-9670 ext. 357. Please also reach out to WDFW as you will likely need per its from them as well.They have specific design standards for docks that often manufacturers are not are of or do not adhere to.The contact for WDFW for this area is Brian Blossom, Brian.Blossom@dfw.wa.go or 564-669-4343. If easier than writing a response, my cell is 206-251-1099. Thanks. My wife and I live full time near Lake Cushman on Lake Standstill. We retired there 3 years ago, and on our property, we have small floating dock in Lake Standstill used mostly for swimming. The dock is old, sinking and splintering and needs to be replaced. With low water in the summer, the ramp hangs off the platform on shore and is bending it toward to water, will eventually pull it into the lake. This platform, ramp, and floating dock were present when we bought the property. With your help and if it is possible to get a permit, we hope to replace the ramp and dock with a new dock and ramp from Mitchell Lumber, installed by AMT Design and Construction, both based in Belfair, WA. The new dock will have the same footprint and configuration of two anchoring pylons as the old dock. On the JARPA 14 page form: Page 11 - 9f. What is the local shoreline designation please? Page 11-9h. Should this be answered yes or no and if no, what manual is relevant? Page 12-91. What species under the endangered species act might be affected by replacing a failing dock? Page 12-9m. What species or habitat on the Washington Dept of Fish and Wildlife Priority Habitats and Species List might be affected by replacing a failing dock? Page 12-10a. I am advised by your colleagues that this is SEPA exempt. Can you tell me under what SEPA admin code (WAC) is it exempt? Page 13-10b. Do any of these permits apply? Thank you.
